Our beautiful location is just minutes away from Hanover's golden mile, with a safe country setting. Our spacious facility, indoors and outdoors, is covered and surrounded by a security fence.
Every kennel is cleaned daily and thoroughly disinfected between boarders for the sake of their health and well-being. We provide quality dry food for your convenience but you're more than welcome to bring your pet's favorite food and treats. You may also send some of your pet's favorite toys, preferably those that can't be easily chewed or ingested.
Our Facility Features:
29 kennels, each with a heated or cooled 4'x6' inside area connected to a 4'x14' concrete outside run
A size-appropriate, raised bed included in each inside area
A large outdoor playground available (at $5.00 per session)
Separate quiet room for cat boarding with high cages, including two perches
Our Pet Boarding Guidelines
Many pet owners rely on our services every year. In fairness to everyone, there are established guidelines that we follow concerning reservations.
Be certain of your plans prior to making your reservation. There is a 3-day minimum boarding charge for weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day and also during major holidays
Emergency cancellations will be handled individually
We expect a prior notice by phone if you wish to pick up your pet before the scheduled end of stay. Also, during busy times, you'll be charged for the entire scheduled stay
All dogs must be leashed while on the property and in the open areas of the building
Cats should be brought in a carrier whenever possible.
Any pet found to have fleas will be given a flea bath at the owner's expense
Grooming - we can groom or bathe dogs during their stay with us. Every effort is made to provide this service as close to the end of the dog's stay as possible. Scheduling grooming at the time you make the boarding reservation is recommended
Required Vaccinations
We require dogs to have the following vaccinations: distemper/parvo, rabies and bordetella (kennel cough). Cats need to have distemper, rabies, feline leukemia (not required but recommended) vaccinations. Written proof of current vaccination is required at check-in. We require your pet to receive his/her vaccinations at least two weeks prior to his /her stay.
Requirements From the PA Dog Law Agency
Effective January 1, 2024 all dogs who reside out of state that come to board at our facility MUST have an Interstate Certificate of Veterinary Inspection form (CVI form) from their veterinarian. Failure to bring this form will force us to refuse boarding service for your dog.
While a current PA dog license is not required to board your dog at our facility, it's highly recommended to have your dog licensed. State dog wardens randomly inspect licensed boarding kennels and can fine owners of unlicensed dogs.
Also, all kennels are required to retain a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate for all the dogs boarding at their kennel. We can make a copy of your original certificate at check-in, for your convenience. We thank you for helping us in meet these requirements.
