Laurel Hill Kennels
Laurel Hill Kennels in Hanover is many pets' favorite home away from home. We are located in the Pigeon Hills and have been in business since 1983. Our owner Melanie Mitchell lives 50 yards from the kennel with her family, so our customers can vacation without worry. They know their pets are safe and well cared for. We also offer grooming for all breeds of dogs by appointment.
Melanie Mitchell, who has an A.A.S in veterinary technology, opened Laurel Hill Kennels in 1983 and still manages its day-to-day operation. She and her family live on the property adjacent to the kennel.
Lori Murphy has been grooming at the kennel since 1989. She came here after serving an apprenticeship at a grooming salon in York, PA.
Barbara Digby, a graduate of the International Academy of Pet Design, started grooming at the kennel in 2002. She also works as a relief caregiver.
Diane Cromer, an accomplished wildlife artist, has been our primary caregiver since 2007.

See what customers are saying about us:
"We have used Laurel Hill Kennels for over 15 years with two different dogs that we have owned. Both received excellent care while boarding and also being groomed. Melanie, the owner, along with her staff, are very responsible individuals and make sure that the animals that they serve receive the utmost of care. Although our dogs were always glad to see us and come home, we knew that they received excellent care and attention while staying or being groomed at Laurel Hill Kennels."

"Just wanted to send an email to thank you again for taking such good care of Buddy. We were so worried about his paws and they actually look better now than they did when we brought him. We really appreciate you giving him all his medications and keeping an eye on him. Seeing how well he did just put the icing on our vacation. :)"

New requirements from the PA Dog Law Agency!
Kennels are now required to retain a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate for all dogs boarding at the kennel. For your convenience, we can make a copy of your original certificate at check in. Thanks for your help in meeting these new requirements.
